  1. My first ride was .45 and it was a fabulous ride because it was the first time I have ridden since a cancer diagnosis and radiation.

  2. Radiation has helped so much that my oncologist has scheduled surgery. I have set goals for before surgery.

  5. I got to do a bucket list item on Friday, August 21. I trail rode on Mackinac Island. We were with a group for a bit and then told how to get Tranquil Bluff Trail. It was absolutely wonderful and beautiful. On our way back to the stables, we got asked if they were our horses. I rode a Friesian Cross gelding named Prince and Kristen rode a Paint mare named Ellie.
    8/21 - 6.98

Goal: Coolbough was a success. We waited for the storm to go through and then rode. Cadiz was ponied along which made him happy. He learned to go single file when needed and to go into the lake. This may be my only chance to ride to Coolbough this year.

  8. Yesterday morning I went Geocaching and in the afternoon I rode Stick and ponied Cadiz. A neighbor girl and her mare Jade rode with us. Wearing a t-shirt when riding in November in Michigan is not normal and I really appreciate it.

  11. Today is the opening day of firearm deer season so trail riding here is not the most sensible option, but the day is sunny and warm. I rode Cadiz in my field. We schooled and then practiced trail riding.

    11/15 - 1.78 Cadiz working

  12. Today is the second day of firearm deer season and once again the weather was unseasonably exceptional. Riding the trails is not the best choice, but after cancer, radiation, surgery, and chemo, riding down the middle of the road is not on my list of things to be feared. So, I rode Stick and ponied Cadiz on the roads.
