Rode 2.85 miles on the Kenai Beach. Weather was windy and warm. Rode Robin and ponied Ellie (4 year old mare). Robin as excitable and forward. Felt good to finnaly get out
Rode 2.49 miles behind the house. Headed straight east and picked up an old trail that connected to a gravel road. Rode partly down the road a bit then turned around and bushwacked and explored a bit. Robin was rushy and impatient on the way back.
Rode 3.79 miles behind the house exploring new trails. Footing was a bit slick. Robin was impatient and rushing on the return. Saw a young moose where we turned around. Robin was curious but not scared.
Short 2.13 mile ride with the husband. Headed out behind the house again. Bushwhack part of the ride and followed a gravel road and four wheeler trail. Flushed a moose part way through the ride. Both horses were alert but didn't spook.
4/2/16 - 1.7 mile adventure behind the house. Footing was punchy so we turned around early.
4/14/16 - 1.19 mile bareback around the house working on relaxation.
4/16/16 - 3.55 mile adventure through the woods. Found some new ponds, went through some rough downed trees and rotten stumps that made the horses really work. Footing is still a bit punchy on areas.
4/2/16 - 1.7 mile adventure behind the house. Footing was punchy so we turned around early.
4/14/16 - 1.19 mile bareback around the house working on relaxation.
4/16/16 - 3.55 mile adventure through the woods. Found some new ponds, went through some rough downed trees and rotten stumps that made the horses really work. Footing is still a bit punchy on areas.
4/29/2016 - 2.02 miles in the woods behind the house on Ellie. Rode with Katy and her horse. Ellie spooked at a porcupine and we parted ways. After that she settled down and we had a great ride.
5/29/2016 - 3.8 miles in the woods behind the house. Took the ATV trail up to the end of Treasure Chest and back through the gravel roads. Robin was fantastic. Clocked her fast walk at over 5 mph.
