Now that I've successfully posted to this blog finally I'll tell you all a little about myself. I was born and raised in Norway, hence the Norwegian Fjord Horse. I have 3 of them actually. An old mare I only drive once in a while, a young mare I need to get started this winter and princess Sera. I ride and drive her, have a cart and a sleigh and now I've finally found a western saddle wide enough for my princess. I've always ridden English. I used to ride and show Quarter Horses. Then switched to my dear resqued old lipezzaner. He was my main riding horse until he died a little over a year ago. Then I had to get serious about getting Sera going. It's taken forever but I now feel like we're getting somewhere. Thanks to Michele who I've met through the Distance Derby I've been on some what I consider long trail rides. Hoping for lots more this year. I'm interested in clinics both for riding and driving. Want to meet people, experience new things and above all improve my riding/driving.
Don't know why my posts come up twice. Ride sera down the road in saddle this time. Western saddle with draft tree is working very well for both of us. 2/26, 4.26 miles
Drive with Sera in the cart, snow is gone. First time I trust Sera to drive with grandkids! Well I drive, they ride along. 2/27, 2.69 miles Roads are mud/ice! Spring is coming!

OK, so the snow is not gone but it's partially gone from the road. Could not drive the cutter sleigh yesterday or today for that matter. Today I rode again, love having water and slush to work Sera through. 2.69 miles on agren Rd.
