My team is Apache and me. Apache is an Appaloosa who belongs to Brooke Thibeault. I am 10 years old and in the fourth grade. I love riding and being around horses. Brooke is a great teacher. She has helped me learn more about horses and how to be a better rider. She encourages me to ride all the time.
My team was registered on Saturday, January 30, 2016. I sent in a picture of myself riding Apache in my pjs, but was not able to log in the mileage because I had not been given a team number yet, or blog spot. Today I received my team number and blogspot address, so I am able to log my mileage for January 30. I rode 2.04 miles. My team name and number hasn’t been added to the 2016 LeaderBoard yet. As soon as that happens I will post this mileage. I realize the time frame is beyond the 7 day limit. Please let me know if this is a problem.
Saturday, February 20th, I rode Apache for .67 miles. Brooke's granddaughter from Alabama was visiting with her. It was a cool experience to help teach a younger person how to ride. The activities we did while riding was fun.
It was really fun riding again. We couldn’t ride in the pasture because of the sweet tall grass. My horse wanted to eat it. We rode in the driveway and got to have a lot of conversation as we rode. It was probably one of the most fun rides because the horses paid attention once we got out of the pasture.
