My team is Belle and me. Belle is a Kentucky Mountain Saddle horse who belongs to Brooke Thibeault. I am 6 years old and in the first grade. I LOVE horses, and everything about them. I started riding when I was three years old. Brooke has been helping me learn more about horses and how to be a better rider. I picked my team name because of Belle’s gait.
My team was registered on Saturday, January 30, 2016. I sent in a picture of myself riding Belle in my pjs, but was not able to log in the mileage because I had not been given a team number yet, or blog spot. Today I received my team number and blogspot address, so I am able to log my mileage for January 30. I rode 1.96 miles. My team name and number hasn’t been added to the 2016 LeaderBoard yet. As soon as that happens I will post this mileage. I realize the time frame is beyond the 7 day limit. Please let me know if this is a problem.
Saturday, February 20th, I rode Belle for .66 miles. Brooke's granddaughter from Alabama was visiting with her. It was fun to groom the horses. They were really muddy. It was fun to do the activities we did on horseback.
I was surprised my horse and I could ride over 2 miles. It was hard riding in the tall grass because Belle kept wanting to eat it, so we rode in the driveway. The afternoon was a lot of fun because Sister Brooke was there.
