I joined the distance derby as an incentive to improve my riding and ability to communicate with My mule Mac. Both of us are needing miles under our feet to improve as a team. Finishing LD and an endurance ride are on the bucket list for this year. The Kenai peninsula is a beautiful place, but the weather and terrain make getting a bunch of miles a challenge. Looking forward to getting as much riding in as I can with my wife and friends.
3.91 miles. 2/27/16. Kuchta to powerline. Windy with slick trail, horses breaking through. Hara and teresa. Ponied wildflower fot awhile - mac takes a job seriously will use that trait in the future.
